Whew! What a busy weekend. We spent much of Saturday at Lone Star Park watching our very first horse races for Mike's company work party. We enjoyed a lovely buffet lunch in one of the ballrooms where we could view the track in air conditioned comfort.
Of course, that soon got boring so we braved the heat to get a little closer to the action.
No, we didn't place any bets. Our favorite horse, Sharp Wager, came in second once. So I guess it's a good thing we saved our money.
Kate got to pet one of the horses. She was thrilled!
Now I just hope she doesn't ask for a pony for her birthday.
