My oh my! The day Kate has been waiting for (and talking about for.e.ver) has finally arrived!
Our little girl is five years old today. And boy is she ever five going on 15. Or however the saying goes.
Anyway,
Kate had about ten different ideas for her birthday party this year, so we tried to to pick a few of the things she's wanted to do for a while. On Saturday we went bowling with Kevin, Leslie, Leslie's mom, and Colin. It was such a fun time!! Kate celebrated like it was going out of style after each turn, and Dylan loved trying to pick up the heavy bowling balls.
There's our beautiful birthday girl!
We ended the afternoon with a visit to the "dinner place"... aka Red Robin, Kate's favorite restaurant in the whole wide world.
~~~~~~
So today is her actual birthday, and her big birthday party!
We're doing a Toy Story 3 movie party at our apartment's clubhouse theater. And some big surprises for her friends (that Mike stayed up until past 1a.m. finishing)
We hope she enjoys her special day.
We love Kate SO much. She's one of the kindest, sassiest and funniest five-year-olds I know. :)
She's also a fabulous helper and wonderful big sister to Dylan.
And while she makes us want to pull our hair out at times, we can't imagine life without her.
This will be a big year for Kate as she is only one month away from attending kindergarten. Her sensitive soul is telling her that she is nervous, but I know she's going to take Key Elementary by storm! :)
Happy Birthday, Kate!!!
Happy Happy Birthday Kate! We love you Kate, and hope that you had a fabulous birthday party. We will definitely need to hear what surprises were up daddy's sleeve! Love you.
Oh! I'm so glad she had fun bowling. And it sounds like her party was a success too :) Happy birthday Kate!
