Powerful Priesthood

Prayer and the Priesthood are powerful. In the past 24 hours the things that have happened with Ryan are nothing short of miraculous. Below is an an e-mail we received from Mike's sister, Michelle, who spoke with his parents earlier today.

"Ryan continues to do well today. His pressures are staying down and my parents have seen a lot of people in and out of his room today. They said that one of his surgeons (that they haven't been introduced to yet) has been walking in and out of his room all day. This last time he just stood there and stared at Ryan. My mom finally said 'Hi' and he looked over at her and just said 'Never in all my years have I seen anything like this before.' The doctors are all just amazed that he is still alive.

Since they halved his pentabarb dose yesterday they have seen even more brain activity, and the doctors just don't know what to think of it. They still give a guarded diagnosis because they just don't know what is going on.

We have a different perspective and know that God is in control of Ryan's life right now. Thank you for your faith and prayers! The plan for tomorrow is to take him into the OR to clean his wounds and to slowly start to warm him up. This will take quite a while because they don't want to trigger a relapse.

Keep the faith. I know that Ryan can feel of your love and concern for him and that this gives him the faith to pull through this as well."
