Our Dylan Boy

Dylan Grady Sharp is

TWO!!

My oh my how we love this little rascal.  His personality is exploding all over the place and it's so fun to see what he does next.

Sometimes it's not so fun... like when he's "loving" on his brother to the point that Blake is purple in the face (it gives me panic attacks)

or when he's throwing his fist-shaking temper tantrums when I tell him "no, for the millionth time, you can't have gumballs!"

or when he deliberately pours water all over the floor while looking me square in the eye.

BUT...

then there are the times that melt my heart, like when he goes up to Blake (before he smothers him with hugs) and in a high-pitched voice says, "hi Bake" 

and when he and Kate are chasing each other around the living room laughing hysterically

or when he stuffs his ever-present "mway" (blanket) in his mouth and falls blissfully off to sleep.

He's learning new words every day and can communicate pretty well for a two year old (I think).

Some of his favorite foods are strawberries, cinnamon toast, hot dogs, oranges, spaghetti and of course "nya-nya" (candy).

Yesterday at his check-up, he weighed 33.4 lbs (95th percentile), stood 37 inches high (97th percentile) and continued his pinhead streak of 48 cm (25th percentile)

Dylan currently loves being in the kitchen with me, doing his best to "help" cook.  As frustrating as it is for me, I try to be patient, because he gets such joy out of pouring flour into the bowl, etc.

He also LOVES cars (especially Lightning McQueen) and balls of any kind, but mostly basketball.
His best buddy is "Husson" (Hudson) and he loves playing with him.

And he adores spending time with Kate out on the trampoline or following her around doing whatever she tells him to do.  We'll see how long that lasts...

Anyway, we love our Dylan boy so much!  We are incredibly grateful to have him in our family.
