Field Day!!
Kate's school takes this annual event very seriously. I didn't know what to expect when they said "there will be a Field Day parade" so I dutifully took my video camera to school last week.
Oh man... it was the cutest thing ever!
Each class decorated a banner and marched down the main drive outside the school. They had theme music, an announcer, everything just like a parade. Oh those kids were proud!
After the parade, the kindergarteners participated in their events.
Kate rocked the hula hoop, jump rope, potato sack race, long jump, and 50 yard dash.
In fact, you're looking at the FIRST PLACE winner in the 50 yard dash! :)
Dylan wanted to be wherever Kate was... at all times. I think he really thinks he's part of her class.
But the BEST part of the entire day was the tug-o-war between the kindergarten classes.
Watching those kids tug their little hearts out with parents and teachers screaming and cheering them on was priceless!
And P.S. Kate's class totally won!
Yay for Field Day 2012!!
