Happy 4th of July!!!

July 4th was fun, but H-O-T!!! Las Vegas topped out at 116 degrees that day! Yuck! It was really the first day in the four years we've lived here that I really hated the weather. It was miserable! But we tried our best to keep cool. We attended a breakfast at church in the morning, where we fed Kate tons of watermelon and canteloupe (which, as you can tell from the pic below, she got all over her cute shirt). It was fun, though. In the afternoon, we managed to get ourselves invited to two friends' houses with pools! We enjoyed part of the afternoon with Mike's former co-worker, Pete and his wife, Suzanne, and then later in the evening, we hung out with our long-time friends Jayme, Layne and their little boy, Payce. It was a great time! HAPPY 4th OF JULY!
