B-Ball

We had a wonderfully busy weekend.  In the midst of errands, an awesome birthday party for The Hud, shopping and the Young Women's broadcast we were able to take the kids over to the church for a little basketball.
Mike is so anxious for them to learn a little about his favorite sport.  We had a blast until we realized that the Spanish ward was holding a baptism in the room next door... oops!
Naturally Kate was freaked out at first (she is soooo scared of trying anything new) but she had fun later.
And Dylan... well Dylan has fun doing just about anything.

A little more about our weekend:
Friday night we checked out Costa Vida with our friends, Bruce and Jessica.  Not quite as good as Cafe Rio, but it'll do in a pinch.  It was fun going out on a date with Mike.  We don't do that very often.
Saturday morning was spent napping (for me) while Mike cooked a big breakfast.  Then we played basketball, shopped, got Mike's truck washed, and other equally exciting errands.
Then it was off to Hudson's baseball birthday party.  It was so awesome!  I loved the whole baseball theme and the food was delicious.  We are grateful to have such amazing friends.
Then I had to race off to the Young Women's broadcast.  I absolutely loved the talk given by Sister Dalton.  It really helped me understand what I should be doing to help the Young Women get to the temple.  It really is so important!!!
Sunday was a whirlwind of church meetings, and a crying Dylan.  Poor Mike.  He always takes care of Dylan at church because of my YW responsibilities.  But yesterday about 20 minutes into our lesson, he came to the door and told me he'd had enough and that we needed to go.  I HATE 1:00 church.  Just sayin'.  It's the worst when we have a child who won't fall asleep anywhere except his crib.  Or his car seat on special occasions.  So we left early, and prepared dinner to take over to Shannon.  She had her adorable Wyatt last week but was only able to take him home yesterday.  We are so glad he's doing well!!
Last night Mike went home teaching and I crashed.
Now we're looking forward to a super busy week!!!

Your church experience sounded like my early evening tonight. We decided to take the kids to Tangled tonight for family home evening. I spent it walking Braeden around the concessions stand for 1.5 hrs while the rest of them enjoyed the movie. Humfff! It was a blast. The best part is that as soon as his little body was layed in the carseat to go home, he fell promptly asleep.
