A little Zion in our lives

Zion Canyon-- the bridge to the Emerald Pools hike (aka our favorite)
The week we were in Idaho/Utah at the end of November was a stressful time.  We were hanging on every word from Germany about Ryan's condition, fearing the worst but hoping for the best.
Once we left Idaho and headed back to Utah, we knew we needed to give ourselves and the kids a break.
So off we went, to beautiful Zion Canyon.
The weather was perfect; there were no crowds.  It was such a lovely day to relax and unwind with just our little family.

The highlight of the hike for the kids: the caves!
 Pregnant belly at 28 weeks.

There's something so familiar about the national parks in southern Utah.  I love Zion.  It reminds me of picnics with my grandparents, hikes with my family, high school dates, trips with friends in college, etc.
Until next time!

OK, this is so weird. Looking at those Zion pics makes me think I'm looking at slides from when we were little and mom and dad were taking us on trips. I'm not saying you look like mom and Mike doesn't look like dad at all, but somehow the ages of your kids or something... Are we really old enough to be the ones in those kind of photos???
Crazy.
