One Way to Beat the Heat in Vegas: Get Out!

Summer isn't exactly the funnest time to be a resident of good ol' LV. This summer has been kinda brutal actually. But luckily there's relief mere minutes outside of town! We joined our neighbors for a night of entertainment under the stars at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park for a rousing rendition of West Side Story. The play was... well... let's just say it was very "high school-esque." Not bad, but nothing to write home about either. In any case, the real treat was eating KFC on the grass while sitting outside without sweating our faces off, right Jill?

This is the stage, and the couple in front of us bugged me by sticking their giant heads together during the entire performance. We took a little walk before the show up to the ranch house, once owned by Howard Hughes. It's so beautiful! Mike refused to take a "serious" picture with me... But he managed to sneak in a brief nap before the show. A fun night spent outside. And a full 10 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. Yippee for small miracles!

You look great! Sounds like a great time out! St. George is way hot, too! It is almost like hybernation time during the winter in Cedar! STAY INSIDE!
