| Outside the WFAA studios in Victory Park, Dallas |
On Saturday we joined more than 50,000 people at the American Heart Walk 5K in Dallas.
Mike's company was a sponsor of the event and we were glad to do this fun walk as a family.
It was a blast!
For the first time all summer, the weather was clear, cool and beautiful.
Plus we got to hang out near the American Airlines Center and the WFAA studios, where we watched them broadcasting the morning news.
Ahhh, memories of my former professional life. :)

Oh, and it was super duper loud, on account of the music, and throngs of people.
We did our best to muffle Blake's ears.
Our best family photo, even though Mike's eyes are closed.
Kate and a friend got their groove on before the walk began.
Check out the crowd!
Pictures hardly do it justice, but basically that's all people, for as far as the eye can see.
Love this picture of the Dallas skyline in the background.
Mid-walk water break at the Oasis... where both Kate and Dylan were enamored with the pink flamingos.
Mission Accomplished!
Kate walked pretty much the entire thing; Dylan did his fair share too.
What a wonderful outing.
The first of many 5K walks/runs in our family's future, for sure.
