For part of Dylan's birthday present, we got tickets to see the Texas Rangers vs. Seattle Mariners.
It was such a blast!
We left Blakester home with a babysitter and took Kate and Dylan to the beautiful Rangers ballpark.
Our seats were in right field, third row. Great seats once the sun went down.
It was perfect weather for the game, too; a little chill in the air, but no wind and beautiful clear skies.
We feasted on the usual ballpark faire: hot dogs, nachos, kettle corn, cotton candy.
Didn't bode too well for my Weight Watchers weigh-in the following morning... (gag) but, when in Rome, right?
Some guys behind us tried for most of the first inning to start a "Wave"... and by darn it totally worked! The "Wave" went all around that giant stadium forever. So cool!
~~~
Dylan made it through the seventh inning stretch, then took a nap 'til the end of the game. Rangers won, 7-0.
Afterward, we stayed to watch the sing-a-long fireworks show. Dylan revived himself just in time.
What a great way to top off the night.
I hope we can make figure out how to go to these games more often.
Yay for baseball!
And Go Rangers! :)
